About Charles Niswander

I am Charles Niswander, a Software Engineer and Backend Software Developer, with a specialty in AI and machine learning (ML). I have a diverse background in software development, particularly in cloud-based API service development and database integration.

My professional journey over the past four years has been rich and fulfilling, particularly through my association with Freedom Learning Group. Here, I have been instrumental in creating and refining educational content for CompTIA certifications. My work spans several key certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, CySA+, Data+ and DataSys+, and more, where my contributions have helped shape the foundational knowledge for aspiring IT professionals.

As part of my work with Freedom Learning Group, I have channeled my passion for AI and ML into my work where appropriate. On behalf of Colorado State University Global, I authored courses that not only educate but also inspire students in these cutting-edge fields. My expertise in languages like Python, C# and .NET, Go, and R, coupled with hands-on experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other AI/ML platforms, has been pivotal in this endeavor.

Moreover, my role in developing CompTIA certification assessment content and healthcare IT instructional materials has allowed me to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I take pride in my ability to translate complex technological concepts into accessible and engaging learning experiences.

My vision extends beyond current achievements. I am deeply committed to advancing the fields of AI and ML, both through innovative educational content and hands-on project involvement. My goal is to not only educate the next generation of tech professionals but also to contribute to meaningful advancements in technology that positively impact our world.

In addition to my educational endeavors, I've also spearheaded an innovative project named DeskBuddy, an intelligent chatbot designed with advanced features like context memory, emotional awareness, and robust question-answering capabilities. This project, developed using Python and Docker, exemplifies my commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI and ML in practical applications. DeskBuddy is a testament to my skills in creating AI solutions that are not only technologically advanced but also empathetic and user-centric. This project underscores my dedication to leveraging AI for creating more intuitive and responsive technology experiences.

Throughout my career, I have enhanced my technical expertise with a variety of certifications. These include advanced training in data science and programming with certifications in Spark and Scala, neural networks and deep learning, as well as machine learning with Python from StackSkills. Additionally, I hold a certification in web development focusing on JavaScript and jQuery. My skills are further complemented by FEMA certifications in leadership and decision-making, highlighting my abilities in problem-solving and team guidance, crucial for emergency management scenarios. These certifications reflect my dedication to continuous learning and my ability to adapt in the dynamic field of technology.
